Figma Motion

FreemiumAI Design & Presentations

Native timeline-based animation built into Figma Design.

Figma Motion (launched at Figma Config 2026, June 24, 2026, in open beta) is a native timeline-based animation tool built directly into Figma Design. It adds keyframes for position/scale/rotation/opacity, auto-keyframing, animation presets, bezier/easing curves and spring physics, motion variables, and animated components that propagate across files and collaborators. You can export to MP4, GIF, WEBM and Animated SVG, or copy animation code as CSS, JSON or framework-ready React, with an inspectable timeline in Dev Mode. It's rolling out gradually across all plans; Lottie export and 3D transforms are noted as coming soon.

Figma Motion pricing

Figma Motion uses a freemium pricing model, with paid plans from Open beta on all plans incl. free Starter; a paid Full seat is needed for publishing animated components, AI-generated animations and hi-res export (verify on figma.com/pricing). A free tier lets you test it before committing.

Who should use Figma Motion?

Figma Motion is best suited for Product designers and teams creating UI animations and prototypes and handing off inspectable, code-ready motion to developers without leaving Figma. It earns its place for built into Figma — no separate animation tool — though it's worth weighing the trade-off that open beta, gradual rollout (not on every account yet).
