As the leading agentic browser of 2026, it turns the browser itself into an AI assistant. The browser is free; Agent Mode requires a ChatGPT paid plan. Update (July 2026): OpenAI is retiring Atlas as a standalone browser, targeting deprecation around August 9, 2026, and folding its agentic features back into ChatGPT (see ChatGPT Work). Existing users are being notified by email and in-app.
